Training - Gather your team together for an initial meeting. Share your vision for Starlight Rescue VBS and give leaders their Starlight Rescue Station handbooks to review.
Supplies - Decide upon and order your Starlight Rescue VBS and God Rocks! resources and any other supplies you may need for your program.
Theme - Start to think about creating your Mission Control set and designing and decorating the Starlight Rescue Stations.
Publicity - Make sure your advertising plan is in place and ready to go.




Personnel - Meet again with your lead team. Make final decisions about what snacks, games, and crafts to do each day.
Recruiting - It’s time to start recruiting the volunteers who will work with the children in their Starlight Rescue Stations all week, and those who will support in other areas.
Publicity - Start advertising your program in your community. Get your information out everywhere that you can!
Schedule - Get your daily schedule in place. Designate locations for all the different Starlight Rescue Stations.
Theme - If you are doing any set construction or building large props, get started on those projects.




Registration - Encourage families in your church to pre-register their children.
Training - Schedule a volunteer training event for Starlight Rescue Group leaders and other volunteers to go over their roles at Starlight Rescue VBS.
 • Publicity - Send letters and registration forms to all the families in your church, along with extras for them to give to friends.
Lead team - Connect with your Starlight Rescue VBS Lead Team to be updated on their preparation.
Theme - Keep your set and prop building going as needed.




Supplies - Do an inventory of all your supplies. Check in with your Lead Team to see if there are any last-minute needs in their areas. • Publicity.  Place some newspaper ads and really give your Starlight Rescue VBS one more big push!

Registration - Your registration coordinator should begin to process the forms that have already come in. • Plan a set-up day.




Personnel - Meet with your Lead Team, Starlight Rescue Group leaders, and all other volunteers. Answer any last-minute questions. Take time to pray!  • Registration. Pre-registered children should be put into their Starlight Rescue groups by now, so that you only have to add the new ones on opening day.

Theme - Have your set-up and decorating day! • Publicity. Make one final promo to your congregation, with flyers available for people to give out to friends and neighbors.
